The COC Urine Test is a rapid urine screening test that can be performed without the use of an instrument. The test utilizes a monoclonal antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of Cocaine metabolite in urine. The Cocaine (COC) Rapid Test yields a positive result when the Cocaine metabolite in urine exceeds 300 ng/mL. This is the suggested screening cut-off for positive specimens set by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA, USA). A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result.

● Internal procedural controls are not included in the test. A colored band appearing in the control region (C) is considered an internal positive procedural control. It confirms sufficient specimen volume and correct procedural technique
● External controls are not supplied with this kit. It is recommended that positive and negative controls be tested as a good laboratory practice to confirm the test procedure and to verify proper test performance.

Q: What about the warranty?
A: Warranty for device: 2 years.
Q: How is the accuracy?
A: The accuracy of the Cocaine (COC) Rapid Test was compared and checked against commercially available tests with a threshold value at the same cut-off levels. Urine samples taken from volunteers claiming to be non-users were examined under both tests. The results were >99.9% in agreement.
Q: How is the precision?
A: The precision of the test was determined through blind tests using control solutions. The results of the cocaine control group with a concentration of 50% of the detection limit were negative, while the results of the cocaine control group with a concentration of 150% of the detection limit were positive.
Q: What does a negative result means?
A: A negative result may not necessarily indicate drug-free urine. Negative results can be obtained when drug is present but below the cut-off level of the test.
