PRINCIPLE
The Cocaine (COC) Rapid Test is an immunoassay based on the principle of competitive binding. Drugs which may be present in the urine specimen compete against the drug conjugate for binding sites on the antibody During testing, a urine specimen migrates upward by capillary action Benzoylecgonine, if present in the urine specimen below 300 ng/mL, will not saturate the binding sites of antibody in the test. The antibody coated particles will then be captured by immobilized Benzoylecgonine conjugate and a visible colored line will appear in the test line region.

A: Cocaine is a stimulant drug. They speed up messages travelling between the brain and body. Cocaine comes from the leaves of the coca bush (Erythroxylum coca), native to South America.
Q: How is the accuracy?
A: The accuracy of rapid cocaine (COC) detection was compared and its performance was compared with that of commercially available detection methods. The comparison threshold was set at the same cut-off level. Urine samples collected from volunteers who claimed not to have used cocaine were tested by both detection methods. The results showed that the consistency between the two methods exceeded 99.9%.
Q: How is the precision?
A: Test precision was determined by blind tests with control solutions. Controls with Cocaine concentrations at 50% of the cut-off yielded negative results, and controls with Cocaine concentrations at 150% of the cut-off yielded positive results.
