PRECAUTIONS

● For professional in vitro diagnostic use only.

● Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use the PCT Rapid Test if the foil pouch is damaged. Do not reuse tests.

● The extraction reagent solution contains a salt solution if the solution contacts the skin or eye, flush with copious amounts of water.

● Avoid cross-contamination of specimens by using a new specimen collection container for each specimen obtained.

● Read the entire procedure carefully before testing.

STORAGE AND STABILITY

The kit should be stored at 2-30°C until the expiry date printed on the sealed pouch.

The test must remain in the sealed pouch until use. Do not freeze.

Cares should be taken to protect components in this kit from contamination. Do not use if there is evidence of microbial contamination or precipitation. Biological contamination of dispensing equipments, containers or reagents can lead to false results.

PROCEDURE

Allow the test device, urine specimen, and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15‐30℃) prior to testing.

1. Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening it. Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.

2. Place the test device on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops of urine (approx. 100 μL) to the specimen well (S) of the test device, and then start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well (S).

3. Wait for the red line(C) to appear. The result should be read at 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.

FAQ

Q: How does your factory control product quality?

A: We strictly follow the ISO:13485 QMS.
R&D team devoted to the technology development.
Skillful workers stick to the standard operation procedure.
Quality Control department carefully inspect the production and package process.

Q: How long does a PCT rapid test take?

A: No more than 15 minutes.

Q: What sample type does the device use?

A: Commonly, it uses whole blood, serum, or plasma.

Q: What does a high PCT result indicate?

A: Elevated PCT levels often suggest a severe bacterial infection or sepsis, but results must be interpreted with clinical symptoms.

Q: Is the test accurate for viral infections?

A: No, PCT levels typically stay normal or slightly rise with viral infections-this helps distinguish bacterial from viral causes.

Q: How should the device be stored?

A: Store it at room temperature (15-30°C/59-86°F) , away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures to maintain accuracy.

Q: Is a PCT rapid test a replacement for lab-based PCT tests?

A: It is a fast screening tool; for confirmatory or precise results, lab-based tests (e.g., immunoassays) may still be required in some cases.
